Location: Albuquerque, NM (Hybrid work available)

Organizational Overview:
TenderLove Community Center (TLCC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals, particularly unhoused and marginalized families and youth, in their transition to self- sufficiency through life skills training, job preparation, housing assistance, and trauma-informed care.
Position Summary:
The Development Director is responsible for leading all aspects of TLCC’s fundraising and development strategy to ensure sustainable growth and financial stability. This individual will manage donor relationships, grant writing and reporting, major gifts, fundraising events, and communications related to philanthropy.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement an annual development plan with clear fundraising goals
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward individual, corporate, and foundation donors
- Manage all aspects of donor relations and engagement
- Grants & Proposals
- Research grant opportunities aligned with TLCC’s mission
- Prepare and submit grant applications and required reports
- Track grant deadlines and ensure compliance with funder requirements
- Event Planning
- Oversee planning and execution of fundraising events, including TLCC’s annual gala
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to maximize event success
Communications & Marketing
- Work closely with the communications team to produce donor-focused materials
- Ensure consistent messaging across fundraising campaigns and platforms
- Reporting & Analysis
- Maintain accurate records in the donor database
- Provide regular development reports to the Chief Executive Officer and Board
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or development • Strong grant writing and donor communication skills
- Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Passion for TLCC’s mission and commitment to equity and inclusion
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $55,000–$70,000 (commensurate with experience)
