 Why an Endowment Fund?

With an endowment, managed by Albuquerque Community Foundation, our donors can give for posterity, ensuring that the mission of TenderLove Community Center (TLCC) will carry on into the future, assisting homeless and low income individuals until the problems that lead to abject poverty, disenfranchisement, and homelessness are fully resolved.

 Your donation becomes part a much larger fund that will keep growing, as well as producing earnings that can become part of our yearly budget.  As the fund grows, our interest give back will grow, and we will be able to count on this funding for years to come. 

It starts small, but imagine what will happen if enough donors like you contribute money that will grow, gradually, into a super bloom!

What is the purpose of the TenderLove Community Center Endowment Fund?

The TenderLove Community Center Endowment Fund was created to perpetuate support for the core values, mission, and staff of TLCC.

This endowment is managed by the Albuquerque Community Foundation. ACF is a professional financial steward with investment resources and an expert investment manager who will ensure our endowment is invested in accordance with current laws and best practices.  

Your donations to our fund will, in essence, last forever.

With your help and inspiration, we have grown from a tiny all-volunteer organization teaching sewing and job skills to a few women each year, to a small but mighty organization providing behavioral health, financial management, and computer skills along with job skills and life skills training, including nutrition, cooking, and of course sewing.

We’ve grown from the frustrations of trying to ensure our clients are housed and fed while they are completing our program to owning two homes, and striving to make waiting lists a thing of the past.
